About Krissy:
Kristen (Krissy) Polimeno has announced her candidacy for the
Tewksbury School Committee. Krissy, and her husband Philip Polimeno,
a life long resident of Tewksbury, are the proud parents of three
school-age children. In addition to Krissy's education degree and
teaching experience in the MetroWest area, she also worked at
Medical Information Technology, Inc. (MEDITECH) for 9 years as a
product education expert, Supervisor in the Implementation Division,
and as a Manager of the Recruiting and Staff Development Group.
Krissy has been actively involved in both school and community
activities in Tewksbury and has participated in a number of school
initiatives. These include: Chair of the Dewing Parent Advisory
Council, member of the School Council, parent classroom volunteer,
member of the Search Committee for the new School Superintendent,
member of the Town Pension Committee, member of Reconfiguration
Committee, and President of the Friends of the New Tewksbury
Memorial High School.
Krissy has also recently coached boys basketball, girls softball and
volunteered at the Tewksbury Hospital Equestrian F.A.R.M. She
previously taught CCD and is a former member of the Tewksbury Garden
Club.
Krissy believes that children are the future of our community. She
will work diligently to ensure that the Tewksbury School System
provides the best possible education to prepare each child for a
successful future. She will promote fiscal responsibility with sound
decision making in support of high quality, cost-effective
educational programs and welcomes the opportunity to serve the
children, parents, school staff and Tewksbury community.
