What
People Are Saying

We encourage the voters of Tewksbury to support Krissy Polimeno for
School Committee. We have no doubt that everyone wants our children
to have the opportunity to receive the best public education
possible. The real question to consider is this: Which candidate is
best able to make that a reality? Who will make the best
contribution to that process? The combination of Krissy Polimeno's
work ethic, positive energy, honesty, educational experience,
business experience and absolute dedication to our children and our
town make Krissy Polimeno far and away the best candidate for School
Committee. Krissy is an exceptional person, and she will do an
outstanding job for our schools.
Being a member of the School
Committee is no easy task. We are living in difficult times. There
is no quick, easy fix for the problems and challenges that our town
faces, but we must look for positive ways to provide a quality
education for all children in Tewksbury . The impact of School
Committee decisions is felt directly by our students, parents,
teachers, tax-payers and all residents of Tewksbury . We need
someone who is up to the challenge of making the best decisions for
all. We need someone who will do the research, use their knowledge,
ask questions and then make the best possible decision for our
community. Krissy is that person!
Krissy has unmatched energy
and passion. She dedicates her time to getting more people engaged
in the process and working as a team to keep things moving in the
right direction. She looks for the positive solutions in a situation
and moves forward, not backward. Krissy's goal is to make things
better. She is a realist who is cognizant of today's current
financial constraints, but she will not waste time with excuses or
asking "what if?" She has a can-do attitude and spends her time and
energy working to make things better. She isn't looking for
accolades or a pat on the back, and she is not seeking office for
her own personal gain. Her objective is clear and simple: Krissy
wants our community and our schools to be the best they can be. She
wants to provide the best educational opportunities for our
children. We need a person of integrity, with the right background,
to make informed decisions and have the backbone to stand up for
what she believes in. Krissy is that person. She has the stamina to
keep moving forward when things get difficult as she is in it for
the long haul.
We have worked with Krissy
as a basketball coach, community activist, parent and friend, and
have witnessed the enormous energy she puts into everything she
does. Krissy knows how to bring people together and get them working
for solutions. Our town needs Krissy Polimeno! Krissy is a strong
person who is not afraid to make difficult decisions in an honest,
straight-forward and respectful manner. Krissy is a person of action
and has incredible integrity. These are qualities we want in the
person representing us and our children as they progress through the
Tewksbury School System. Please vote for Krissy Polimeno for School
Committee this Saturday April 10.

There is a sense of change in the air in the town of Tewksbury.
Members of the community are looking for new ideas, fresh
perspective and a greater sense of community within our town. Krissy
Polimeno will bring that and more to the School Committee. A vote
for Krissy Polimeno for School Committee is a step in the right
direction for Tewksbury.
We
whole-heartedly support Krissy Polimeno for School Committee. I have
had the pleasure of working closely with Krissy on the Dewing PAC.
Her leadership is evident to all who have had the privilege of
working with her. She is equally accessible to parents, staff,
administration, co-workers and community members. She is a
successful leader. Whether it is volunteering for a hands-on
classroom event, any one of many Family nights at the Dewing, or
supporting a community service project, she is there to help and
support the effort. Krissy’s commitment to the children and the
school system is evident in that she is always eager to brainstorm,
coordinate and put into action an idea that will benefit and enhance
our children’s school experience.
Krissy
understands and appreciates the value of collaboration, a necessary
ingredient in the running of any successful board. Her background in
education will support her ability to make intelligent, appropriate
decisions, to weigh carefully the options available and arrive at
the choices that will benefit all members of our community. As
parents of children who attend Tewksbury Public Schools, we have a
personal stake in the Tewksbury Public Schools. We want our
children to receive the absolute best possible education. As
homeowners and taxpayers in Tewksbury, we want to be proud of our
community and to make Tewksbury an attractive community. Our
property values are dependent upon making Tewksbury an attractive
community, a place people want to come to live and raise their
families.
With that
said, it is our responsibility to elect the most qualified candidate
to the School Committee. Krissy is fully committed to our schools
and the future of our community. Join us in casting a Vote for
Krissy Polimeno, School Committee, on April 10th .

“Teamwork is the ability to work together toward a common vision;
the ability to direct individual accomplishment toward
organizational objectives. It is the fuel that allows common people
to attain uncommon results.” – Andrew Carnegie
Our
great community of Tewksbury deserves leaders who are committed to
working together toward a common goal; making the town of Tewksbury
an incredible place to live. We have taken a significant step toward
accomplishing this goal by coming together to approve the funding of
our new high school. Now, we have the opportunity to choose two new
members for our School Committee. Our commitment to the education of
our children has been demonstrated in both this new high school as
well as our new Town Manager's budget which increases the allocation
to the schools by over $1 Million. We need to feel confident that
our School Committee will leverage our tax dollars to maximize the
educational opportunities for our children and the children of our
fellow Tewksbury residents.
For this reason, we are
supporting Krissy Polimeno for one of the open positions on the
School Committee. Although Krissy has significant experience as a
leader in various roles in our current school system, we are most
impressed with her private sector experience. In addition to her
education degree and teaching experience, Krissy brings her
experience from the private sector where she was responsible for
staffing, negotiations, implementing new processes, working within
the constraints of defined budgets, and producing results. These are
all of the qualifications that we support in our next school
committee member.
We are fellow parents of
children in Tewksbury schools and have experienced, first-hand, the
leadership and dedication Krissy brings to our school system.
Krissy has led the Dewing PAC as our chairperson and has impacted
our community in such a positive way. As chairperson, she keeps the
PAC meetings running smoothly, keeping everyone on task. Krissy is
extremely approachable and welcomes all ideas that are brought to
her attention. Communication between the PAC, the committee heads,
the staff and the parents are professional and we have been so
thrilled to have Krissy leading our Parent Council.
Because of Krissy's passion,
expertise and commitment to our schools, we are supporting her for
one of the positions on the school committee. Our community will
greatly benefit from her skills and dedication and we encourage you
to cast one of your votes for Krissy on April 10th.
Mary and Brian Aylward -
Letter To The Editor - April 4,
2010
Tewksbury residents will be asked to vote for two new School
Committee members in the upcoming town election on April 10th. We
are suggesting that you consider casting your two votes for Krissy
Polimeno and Joe Russell as the two best candidates for the job.
We are losing the two most experienced members
of the board with the resignation of both Dennis Peterson and Rick
O’Neill. This leaves the board with two members having only 1 year
experience, and 1 member with 2 years experience to work with a
brand new School Superintendent. We need to consider bringing in a
School Committee veteran to balance out this new and inexperienced
board. Joe Russell has previously served on the School Committee for
6 years. He has been through the budget process six times,
understands how the budget process works and has experience working
with the School Business Department, Town Manager, as well as the
Board of Selectman and the Finance Committee. This experience will
prove to be invaluable with the upcoming budget process and teacher
contract negotiations. Joe’s membership on the High School Building
Committee will also serve us well as we build a new High School over
the next few years. Beyond his experience, there has not been a
member of the school committee that has attended more student
focused events during their tenure on the board. Joe cares about the
kids. Joe is a hard-working, trustworthy person who will make
decisions based on what is right for the children of Tewksbury.
Krissy Polimeno will be an excellent
contributor to the School Committee. Krissy has both the education
and business background necessary to bring informed decision making
to the board. Krissy has a degree in Education and has classroom
teaching experience. She also has experience working in Human
Resources at a medical technology company in which she managed
budgets, made personnel decisions and negotiated salaries for
employees. This experience will be critical in her role on the
School Committee. Krissy is a team player who knows how to bring
people together to get the job done. This has been clearly
demonstrated in the many, many projects completed as chairperson of
the Dewing School PAC, her work with various school and town
committees, as well as her work with the Friends of the New
Tewksbury High School. I know that Krissy will be a positive
influence on the board and will work collaboratively with parents,
teachers, administrators and other town departments to ensure that
we are providing the best possible education for all children of
Tewksbury.
Both of these candidates are first-class
individuals that will conduct School Committee affairs fairly and
with dignity. With four children that will be educated in Tewksbury
Schools, I do not hesitate to support these two candidates and trust
that they will make the right decisions for the benefit of all
children in Tewksbury. Let’s build on the momentum that we gained by
voting to build a new High School and continue to make Tewksbury a
great place to educate all of our children. On Saturday April 10th,
make sure you get out and cast your two votes for Polimeno and
Russell.

Letter To The Editor
- April 3, 2010
As parents to four school-age children, we feel particularly
invested in the selection of Tewksbury’s School Committee. We are
seeking a candidate who will strive for excellence in all areas of
our educational programming and who, not only can develop both
short-term goals and a long-range strategic plan, but can execute
them as well. Krissy Polimeno is that candidate. Simply stated,
Krissy gets things done. She has the skill set to transform a great
idea into actions and results. While balancing the demands of her
own busy life, she continues to impress us with an outstanding level
of organization, energy, and commitment to everything she holds
dear. The Tewksbury School System is clearly on the top of her
list, and we can count on her unwavering dedication thanks to her
experience as a former teacher, the many education-focused
leadership roles in which she has already successfully served, and
her devotion to her three children.
In a land where differences of
opinion can often lead to conflict, we have always admired Krissy’s
ability to focus on the big picture. Countless times, we have heard
her say, “It’s all about the kids,” and she’s right. Krissy always
remains positive, listens with an open heart, and is respectful of
the passion that other parents and community members bring to the
table. Because of this, she has attracted a core group of
action-oriented advocates for education.
We are excited about the new wave
of optimism that is rising in Tewksbury, and Krissy is without a
doubt someone who can both sustain and augment it. Our
future demands a School Committee that can work toward stabilizing
budget issues in order to focus on academic excellence. We have the
utmost confidence in Krissy’s abilities and are certain that she can
lead the way. Please join us and other parents who feel excited
about Tewksbury’s potential and cast your vote for Krissy Polimeno
on April 10th.

Letter To The Editor - April 2, 2010
As a Tewksbury resident with much vested in the future of our town,
schools and children, I am writing in support of Kristen Polimeno
for one of the two School Committee seats. Polimeno is a very
impressive candidate. As a former teacher, she is action-oriented
with a strong sense of community and deep passion for education.
Polimeno is a 12-year Tewksbury resident and has been an active
volunteer and integral part of positive change in the town through
her involvement with the Friends of the New Tewksbury High School,
chairperson of the Dewing Parent Advisory Council (PAC) as well as
the town-wide PAC, coach of both basketball and softball teams, CCD
teacher and also a member of the School Superintendent Search
Committee.
Polimeno is extremely down to earth
and takes a collaborative approach to solving problems and getting
things done. She is a great listener and eager to hear varying
opinions before making decisions; and does not shy away from making
difficult ones. She is of sound character and high integrity and is
the type of School Committee member that Tewksbury needs to lead us
into the future. Please join me on Saturday April 10th in casting
one of your two votes for Kristen Polimeno for Tewksbury School
Committee.

- Letter To The Editor - March

I am writing in support of Krissy Polimeno, a candidate in the
upcoming Tewksbury School Committee election. I have known the
Polimeno family for 25 years, and I’ve known Krissy personally for
the past 15 years. As someone who cares about the future of our
schools and our town, I was thrilled to learn of her decision to run
for the School Committee. In addition to being well-qualified for
the job, Krissy has abilities that will serve the town of Tewksbury
well.
First, Krissy seeks the
input of others and shows respect for all opinions. In making
decisions related to our schools, I’m confident that she will
consider the impact of these decisions on all Tewksbury residents.
Second, Krissy has a talent for uniting people to work toward
common goals. She recently played a major role in helping to bring
our community together in support of the new high school. As a
school committee member she will be effective in bringing together
town officials, teachers, administrators, parents, and the community
at large to provide the children of Tewksbury with the best possible
educational experience, in a fiscally responsible manner. Finally,
Krissy is best known for her passion and her dedication. She pours
an incredible amount of energy into every project that she takes on,
and she is most passionate about her role in the schools.
I believe that her skills
and dedication are exactly what we need in Tewksbury, and I am
thankful that she is running for school committee. Please join me
in voting for Krissy Polimeno in the upcoming election on Saturday,
April 10th.

Asselin - Letter To The Editor - March 28, 2010
I am writing to express my support for Krissy Polimeno, candidate
for Tewksbury School Committee. I have had the pleasure of knowing
Krissy for several years and I admire her for so many reasons.
First, she is a wonderful mom to her three blessed children. Family
is of utmost importance to her. Her commitment to her children is
reflected in everything she does, whether it is co-chairing the
Dewing School PAC, coaching numerous sporting teams, volunteering in
the classrooms or just cheering from the sidelines. I have watched
her do all of these things beaming with pride. I am confident that
as a School Committee member Krissy will demonstrate the same spirit
and enthusiasm for all the children of Tewksbury. Krissy has
organized numerous school functions that I have been fortunate
enough to have been a volunteer for. She gives 110 percent to
everything she participates in. I have no doubt that she will devote
the same effort when she is elected.
I am a
lifelong resident of Tewksbury and have never before felt the sense
of Town pride that I have in the last few weeks. With the upcoming
building of our new High School, I believe that Krissy’s spirit and
vitality will be a tremendous asset to our School Committee. I know
that Krissy’s primary objective as a School Committee member will be
meeting the needs of our children. Not only because her own three
children are part of the Tewksbury school system, but because she is
an advocate for all the children in Tewksbury. As an educator
herself, Krissy knows the importance of class size, teacher to
student ratio, teacher needs and school wide needs. I have complete
faith that she will bring new ideas and energy to our School
Committee and our children will benefit with her becoming a member.
As a mother of two children in the Tewksbury school system, I will
proudly cast my vote for Krissy Polimeno on April 10th.
Joy Beatrice - Letter To
The Editor - March 28, 2010
I am writing to voice my support of Krissy Polimeno for School
Committee. My husband and I first got to know Krissy through our
sons’ baseball games and our participation in a variety of community
events. I have been on the Town Wide PAC for the past two years
and have had the opportunity to work with Krissy and get to know her
better. Much has been said about Krissy’s dedication to the Dewing
PAC, several other school related committees and the many hours she
devotes to volunteer civic activities in our town. I absolutely
admire Krissy’s passion and the positive energy she brings to any
event she attends, whether it’s school related, civic or social.
But Krissy’s dedication and passion are only part of what she brings
to the table.
Krissy is a smart, dedicated, level-headed person who takes the time
to do her homework to fully understand the issues at hand. In
addition to her teaching experience, Krissy has many years of
experience in the private business sector, where she successfully
worked her way up to senior management positions. The combination
of her business and education experience, coupled with her
commitment to our community would make her a great asset to our
School Committee. She is uniquely qualified to serve the children,
parents and tax-payers in Tewksbury. She works tirelessly to get
the job done. She works well and effectively with a variety of
people. She is at ease with parents, administrators, teachers and
town officials. We need enthusiastic, intelligent, dedicated leaders
like Krissy, with her can-do attitude and strong work ethic, to help
make the important decisions about our school budget, and to help
steer the course of our children’s education in Tewksbury. Please
join me in supporting Krissy Polimeno for School Committee and cast
your vote for her on April 10.
Robert Lane Morse, Esq.,
Corporate Counsel , Medical Information Technology, Inc. (MEDITECH)
- Letter To The Editor - March 30, 2010
I have known Kristen Polimeno both professionally and personally
for over 15 years. During her eight-year tenure at MEDITECH,
Kristen held a number of positions where she demonstrated
substantial business skills, leadership, and superior inter-personal
skills. As a result, within a relatively short period of time,
Kristen was able to advance from an entry-level position within the
company to a senior management role reporting directly to the
Corporate Counsel.
As indicated above, Kristen
began her career in the financial software division. As a result
of her success in this division, Kristen transferred into a
corporate position where her skills could be more broadly utilized
throughout the company. In this capacity, she was in charge of the
newly created telecommuting initiative, the Staff Development
Department, and the Recruiting Department. The telecommuting
initiative is a good example of her unique skill set. This program
was new to MEDITECH and, as a result, faced significant internal
obstacles. Logistically, there were also numerous technical issues
to address. Kristen was able to overcome these obstacles, launch
the program in a timely manner, and establish a successful program
in a very short period of time.
Perhaps Kristen's greatest
strength is her ability to tackle difficult problems. This comes
from a combination of her inter-personal skills coupled with her
refusal to accept 'no' as a possible response. To put it simply,
she removes obstacles and is tenacious in reaching her goal. At
the same time, she accomplishes this in a very diplomatic manner.
She is a 'bridge builder' and attempts to form a consensus from all
involved parties. The result is a successful project that all
parties can accept.
Kristen was promoted to
Manager shortly after joining her new group. Her enthusiasm is
infectious and she is a tremendous motivator of her staff. She also
takes the time to educate her staff, teach them, and allow their
careers to develop and flourish. She is very approachable and was a
great resource for her staff. At the end of the day, Kristen
possesses a unique set of skills that will allow her to accomplish
any goal that she has set for herself.
Kim Sheehan -
Letter To The Editor - March 30, 2010
In the past few weeks, Tewksbury has invested in a new Town
Manager, School Superintendent and High School. In just a few weeks
it will be time to vote again for new board members for our School
Committee. I would like to speak about one candidate who I believe
is the best choice for one of the available seats on this board,
Krissy Polimeno.
Krissy is a wife and mother
of three elementary aged children. She is very energetic and
motivated and has given her time and support to many events,
fundraisers and committees in town. She has been the Chairperson for
the Dewing School PAC for the last three years and has spent much
time bringing the Dewing community together for family oriented
events at the school.
She is focused and driven to
accomplish tasks and make decisions, no matter how tough they may
be. She willingly accepts any and all challenges and gives 110% of
herself each and every time until the task is completed, never
seeking recognition for what she has done only looking forward to
the next cause to get involved with. Krissy has a lot of positive
energy and it becomes contagious to all of the people around her.
She is a true leader and
team player and I have never heard her say that something could not
be done. She has always found a way not only to get it done but to
exceed all expectations. Her focus is on the children, all of the
children, and what she can do to ensure that each and every one is
offered the best education that they can get. The town just voted
to invest in the future of the children. Let’s do it again on April
10th with a vote for Krissy Polimeno.
Scott Garland
- Letter To The Editor - March 30, 2010
I am writing this letter to offer concrete reasons to Tewksbury
voters why I fully support Krissy Polimeno as candidate for
Tewksbury School Committee. I have been a longtime resident of
Tewksbury and attended Tewksbury schools from K -12th grade. I have
always felt that Tewksbury provided a solid education, but the
population growth and recent economic conditions have put
unprecedented strain on the services and facilities. In response,
Tewksbury residents recently made a strong commitment to the
betterment of our children’s education and the future of the town
during the recent high school special election. This brings me to
why I feel so strongly about Krissy Polimeno and her candidacy. As
president of Friends of the New Tewksbury Memorial High School,
Krissy provided strong leadership to the committee. She spent
countless hours educating the community about the unique opportunity
Tewksbury had to build a new high school. One of the goals of the
School Committee is to see this new high school project successfully
implemented. Krissy remains fully committed to the project and will
continue to provide leadership as a School Committee member.
Aside from the impactful new
high school opportunity, Krissy had already demonstrated tireless
commitment to improving Tewksbury’s education through her
volunteering and running of the Dewing School PAC. There has not
been a day that I have visited the Dewing school that she hasn’t
been there helping in an oversized 25+ student classroom or making
sure the teachers have the supplies they need. Her passion for the
children and the quality education they receive is indisputable. All
the teachers and educators at the Dewing school that I have spoken
with are passionate about Krissy’s candidacy and her ability to
enact positive change if given the chance to participate on the
Tewksbury School Committee.
Make no mistake, Krissy’s
only motive for running is for the benefit of our children and the
educational opportunities they will be offered in the Tewksbury
school system. Her proven leadership in getting the new high school
to the voters and her tireless commitment to the schools as a full
time volunteer qualify her for this position. Her commitment,
resume, and demonstrated capabilities make her a gift to Tewksbury
and its future. Vote yes for Krissy Polimeno on April 10th and
continue the trend of investing in our great community.
Tom and
Karla Branchaud -
Letter To The Editor - March 30, 2010
We are very excited that Krissy Polimeno is running for School
Committee. Over the past three years, our sons have participated on
the same youth baseball team. When we first met Krissy at her son’s
t-ball practice, we were impressed with her commitment and passion
for her family and her three children. Over the years, we have seen
that she shares that same commitment and passion for all the
children in town. She has demonstrated this commitment in her
community activities as Tewksbury Youth Softball and Basketball
coach and as a member of various town-wide committees.
Right now,
Tewksbury schools face critical challenges: financial challenges
that threaten the quality of education for our children. These
challenges force our School Committee to make difficult decisions –
decisions that are not always popular with parents, teachers or
community members. A strong School Committee member is someone who
is willing to make those difficult decisions with courage and
commitment, while keeping our children’s best interest in the
forefront. Not many people are willing to take on the
responsibility of a School Committee member during these challenging
times. Not many people have the courage, leadership and perseverance
to tackle the tough issues facing our educational system. Krissy is
someone who is willing and able to make those tough decisions. More
importantly, we trust Krissy to make those decisions in the best
interest of our children, regardless of their popularity,
We want
Krissy’s courage, tenacity and positive attitude on the School
Committee to chart the direction of our educational system for the
coming years. We fully support Krissy's candidacy for Tewksbury
School Committee.
Barbara Lawton -
Letter To The Editor - March 30, 2010
On April 10, 2010, the residents of Tewksbury have an
opportunity to elect Krissy Polimeno as School Committee Member.
Simply put, Krissy is the best person for the job. I first met
Krissy when our daughters took dance classes together. I had an
opportunity to meet Krissy first as a dedicated mother and coach and
then as a champion for our schools. Through our casual conversations
in the dancing school lobby, I learned a lot about Krissy’s family
values, her commitment to her children, and her enthusiasm for the
educational and civic activities in which she participates.
Krissy’s passion and commitment to public education were evident and
over two years of chatting in the dancing school lobby, I began to
recognize the importance of public education.
I credit Krissy’s enthusiasm
and dedication to public school for helping me recognize the
importance of getting involved with our children’s education. I
stopped exploring private school options for my daughter and chose
to enroll my daughter in public school. I immediately became
involved with my daughter’s school and I was asked to join the
Budget Advisory Committee (BAC), where I had my first opportunity to
work with Krissy. I witnessed her driven work ethic and can-do
attitude first hand!
Krissy is one of the most
motivated people I have ever met. She has the ability to work on
several projects at one time and give 110% percent to each
activity/committee she is involved in. We all had a chance to see
that recently as she stood up and worked so hard to get Tewksbury a
new superintendent and a new high school. She is full of energy and
is definitely a go-getter.
The thing I most admire
about her is her ability to listen and respond honestly. She is
direct, straightforward and truthful. She has the confidence to
stand by what she says. Krissy has so much to offer and we would be
foolish as a town not to give her the ability to do so. A vote for
Krissy is a vote for our kids, our schools and our community.
Dean Graffeo - Letter To The
Editor - March 25, 2010
I would like to let the voters of Tewksbury know about an
outstanding candidate in the upcoming election for School
Committee. Providing the best possible education to all of the
children of Tewksbury is an essential priority for Krissy. This is
tremendously important to me as a parent of three children in the
Tewksbury Public School System. There will be many difficult
decisions to be made soon after this election and I cannot think of
another person to whom I would entrust that responsibility. Krissy
is fearless, energetic, positive, thorough, informed and
informative, and she possesses the utmost integrity. Krissy is a
true natural leader who leads by example. She is exactly what
Tewksbury needs in its School Committee members. I am proud to
support her as a candidate for School Committee and ask you to join
me on April 10 in casting your vote for Krissy Polimeno.
Susan M. Kolls - Letter
To The Editor - March 25, 2010
It is my great pleasure to be able to write this letter of support
for Krissy Polimeno, who is running for Tewksbury School Committee.
Krissy is an easy candidate to rally around – she is dedicated to
our schools and our community, she has the experience necessary for
the job, and she has the drive and determination to make positive
changes, as well as the knowledge necessary to make difficult
decisions. Krissy is Chair of the Dewing School Parent Advisory
Council; she has served on Reconfiguration and Superintendent Search
Committees; and is the current president of the Friends of the New
Tewksbury Memorial High School. She knows Tewksbury, our friends,
our community, and especially, our schools and the needs of our
children. The integrity, balance and future of any community begin
in its schools. Please help me to support Krissy Polimeno for
Tewksbury School Committee so that our town can have the brightest
of all possible futures.
Maura Rauseo, Co-Chair
TMHS PAC - Letter To The Editor -
March 25, 2010
I am writing in support of Krissy Polimeno, who is running for
Tewksbury School Committee. Krissy has the energy and leadership
qualities necessary to be a productive School Committee member; she
has spent several years volunteering in our schools and throughout
our community while raising her three children with her husband.
Krissy clearly knows how to manage her time effectively, and while
serving as a School Committee member would be a new role for her,
she has shown her ability to balance many different responsibilities
at once.
Krissy has been a teacher,
so she understands the challenges of being in the classroom and the
rewards that come from a successful educational program. She has
been a manager for a medical software company, so she understands
the challenges of budgeting and employee relations. She has been an
active parent and volunteer leader in our schools, so she
understands the challenges students face every day, and she has
worked hard to make improvements in our schools.
Krissy and I have served
together on the Townwide Parent Advisory Council since she became
Co-Chair of the Dewing PAC, and I have been impressed with her from
the first time we met. I have seen her passion for doing what is
right for our schools and our children and I know Krissy will carry
this passion with her all the way to a position on the Tewksbury
School Committee. Please join me in voting for Krissy Polimeno for
School Committee on April 10, 2010.
Lorraine Trull - Letter To The
Editor - March 18, 2010
Krissy has been in my daughter's corner since the day I met her at
my first PAC meeting in September 2009. After Krissy Polimeno
chaired the meeting, I introduced myself as the mother of an only
child who had just entered the Kindergarten program at the Dewing
School. My husband and I were not thrilled at first with our
daughter going to the Dewing School. In fact, we were quite
disappointed! It was by far not our first choice. Unhappily, we
were biding our time there while my daughter was on the waiting list
at the private school she was supposed to be attending.
Little by little, time went
by, and I just knew that the fit was right. My daughter belongs at
the Dewing. Krissy Polimeno was one of the people
who helped show me that. She has a strong will to help our
children through education and enrichment programs. Since I have
known her, Krissy has spent countless hours trying to create a
better education for our children. Her three children are part of
the same experience that my daughter is having now as they too
attend the Dewing School.
I think by now we all know
that she is the chair of the Dewing
PAC, she has been on the Committee to find the next Superintendent,
she has been on the reconfiguration committee, and
she is on the committee to bring a New High School to
Tewksbury! Her credentials go much further than I have stated here.
She has a lifelong commitment to helping educate people –parents,
teachers, and citizens of Tewksbury,
as well as our children! She has an all-inclusive style while trying
to work for a better future for all of us.
I have worked by Krissy's
side at several volunteer opportunities over the past year and a
half. She has a lot of energy and every bit of it is focused into
moving ahead and striving for our continued involvement in the
learning process. Needless to say, my husband and I have decided to
keep our daughter in the Tewksbury public school system, right where
she needs to be, happily learning! Krissy
works tirelessly to make sure that the Tewksbury School System is a
positive place for all of our children. Vote for Krissy Polimeno for
School Committee! You will be glad you did!

Letter To The Editor - March 17, 2010
Polimeno for Tewksbury School Committee, From
the Lowell Sun on 3/17/2010
We support Krissy Polimeno as Tewksbury's
next School Committee member. Krissy has the experience,
intellect, energy, leadership skills, compassion and commitment
to help guide our school system over the next three years.
Critical decisions are currently being made, and will continue
to be made in our school system over the next few years. They
include integration of a new superintendent, vision and support
for a new high school, and budgeting during one of the worst
recessions in our country's history. She understands that change
and unity are necessary for our town and the health of our
school system during these challenging fiscal times.
Krissy's life experiences give her the
skill set needed to work positively and productively on the
School Committee. She has experience in both the public and
corporate sectors. She began as a Massachusetts elementary
school teacher and went on to become a manager for a national
medical software company. Now her focus is on her three children
and the betterment of the Tewksbury public schools. She has
spent the last three years chairing the Dewing School PAC and
raising the level of family involvement at the school. She is
also a member of the Dewing School Council, has been an active
participant on the reconfiguration committee and on the search
committee for a new superintendent. She truly believes that
knowledge is power. She walks the walk by gaining knowledge
about our town through attending town meetings and School
Committee meetings. She will work diligently to make sure our
children have the best possible education.
On a personal note, we have had the
pleasure of living next door to the Polimeno family for the last
11 years. Not only are we neighbors, but we have grown to become
close family friends and supporters of each other. Krissy, her
husband, Phil, and their three beautiful children are a
wonderful example of what makes our town special: community. Her
character is outstanding, and her true passion for nurturing
children and lending a hand are displayed every day, no matter
who is watching. With much confidence, we encourage you to vote
on April 10 for Krissy Polimeno for School Committee.

For the last two years I have been a member of The Dewing School
PAC, and with Krissy as chair (at the helm) I was extremely
confident that the school was going in the right direction. She is
very intelligent, passionate about what she believes in, open to
listening to all sides of any discussion, and is a genuine person.
Her decision to run for School Committee is a boost of hope for
Tewksbury. It is my pleasure to call Krissy my friend, I can only
hope that the rest of Tewksbury will realize what Krissy has already
done and can do if given the opportunity. Krissy gets my vote on
election day for School Committee membership.

Krissy Polimeno has the talent and energy the Tewksbury School
Committee needs. Her commitment to the needs of our children is
outstanding. Having served with her on the Dewing PAC I can tell you
she is a team player here for the good of the community! She has
countless ideas and unrelenting energy. She is a knowledgeable and
respected member of our community. My husband and I are honored to
be supporting her for the Tewksbury School Committee. Let's get this
started! I am so glad you're running Krissy! I TRULY believe you
would make and awesome addition to the SC and the community would be
lucky to have you!!

Krissy will be a wonderful addition to the Tewksbury School
Committee. She is intelligent and committed to the education of our
children. Krissy has always been fair and will stand up for what she
believes in. I've worked closely with her on the Dewing PAC and have
always admired her talent to be a true leader. Krissy has
volunteered countless hours to make Tewksbury a better place to
live. She will be a strong advocate for ALL our children.

For those of you who already know Krissy, you are aware of
her commitment to the children of our school system. For those
of you who don't know her: I cannot say enough about her dedication
and effort. I have had the honor of working side-by-side with Krissy
on the Dewing PAC for the past three years. Krissy is a natural
leader, an intelligent individual and will work hard for the future
of our children. I urge you to consider Krissy for the School Committee.
A vote for Krissy is a vote for our children!

My very good friend and fellow "Dewing Mom", Krissy Polimeno is
running for a seat on the Tewksbury School Committee. Not only is Krissy very knowledgeable in the issues that our schools
need, but also very compassionate and determined to make a positive
impact to help better her community. Her drive and dedication is
what we need to help our kids succeed in every possible way they
can. As a person, I can say that Krissy and her family have become
my dearest friends. Her constant offers to help out and support
those around her makes her an amazing person. I know she will do a
fantastic job in helping our community reach the goals that we are
all striving for!

Krissy would be a natural addition to the Tewksbury School
Committee. She is a former teacher, comes from a family of educators
and has 3 young children in the Tewksbury Public School System. Many
of you may know Krissy as the Chairperson for the Dewing PAC. What I
have admired most is her generosity of time, her commitment to the
children and her willingness to roll up her sleeves and do what is
needed. I don't think I have been to one Dewing event in the last
few years that Krissy wasn't working in some capacity! To my friends
from across town who may not be familiar with Krissy Polimeno. She
is involved in many town-wide issues and committees making her well
versed in the entire town vision. She is determined and very focused
when it comes to education in Tewksbury. She is a parent who gets it
and will work as hard for your children as her own.
